CAPAC Chair Statement on Appointment of Sukhee Kang as Regional Administrator for the General Services Administration
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, President Biden announced the appointment of Sukhee Kang as General Services Administration (GSA) Regional Administrator for Zone E, serving Arizona, California, Nevada, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, American Samoa, East Asia, and Guam. From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Kang was the mayor of Irvine, California.
Chair Rep. Judy Chu (CA-28) issued the following statement:
“I am thrilled to see President Biden’s selection of Sukhee Kang to a key regional appointment at the GSA. Sukhee’s extensive background as a businessman, civic leader, and elected official makes him a fantastic candidate for this role. In addition, Sukhee will bring his diverse and historic experiences as an immigrant and as the first Korean American mayor of a major U.S. city to the role.
