CAPAC Shutdown Resources for AANHPI Communities
On October 1, the federal government shut down because President Trump and Congressional Republicans would not agree to legislation that kept government open while lowering health care costs. A government shutdown means that millions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) families may lose access to food assistance, small businesses are struggling without federal loans, and health care services may be suspended all together.
This is unacceptable. The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus is fighting to reopen the government, lower health care costs, and fund essential programs that our communities depend on. Below you will find translated resources for AANHPIs impacted by the government shutdown.
