CAPAC Chair Applauds Biden’s Nomination of Todd Kim as Assistant Attorney General
Washington, D.C. — Today, President Biden nominated Todd Kim as Assistant Attorney General of Environment and Natural Resources at the U.S. Department of Justice. This is the latest barrier breaking nomination from President Biden who, as President, has worked to fulfill his promise to create an Executive Branch that looks more like the country. Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) Chair Rep. Judy Chu issued the following statement:
“I’m proud to congratulate Todd Kim on his well-deserved nomination to be the Assistant Attorney General for the Environment and Natural Resources Division at the Department of Justice. With years of experience in litigation and environmental policy, including at the Department of Energy and the Department of Justice, Todd has the background and expertise to excel in this position. And as the first AAPI to be nominated for this role, he is a proud example to so many others who never saw themselves in government before. I’m so grateful to President Biden for all he is doing to ensure qualified and compassionate leaders in our government, and for his ongoing commitment to building a federal workforce that reflects the full diversity of our nation.”
