May 6, 2014

Washington, D.C. – Today, fourteen Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander leaders from across the nation were sworn in as new commissioners for the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The swearing-in ceremony took place during an opening ceremony at the U.S. Department of the Interior to kick off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The event also featured a special keynote from Vice President Joe Biden, as well as remarks by Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27), Congressman Mike Honda (CA-17), Deputy Secretary of Labor Chris Lu and other senior Administration officials.
