CAPAC Welcomes New Associate Member Rep. James Walkinshaw
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) welcomed Rep. James Walkinshaw (VA-11) as an Associate Member for the 119th Congress, bringing the total membership of the Caucus to 83 Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.
“I am thrilled to welcome Representative James Walkinshaw to the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus,” said CAPAC Chair Rep. Grace Meng. “Rep. Walkinshaw will work tirelessly on behalf of his Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) constituents, who make up more than 20 percent of his district, to ensure their voices are heard at the highest levels of government. I look forward to working closely with all of our members to lower costs, defend our rights, and deliver for our AANHPI communities.”
“It’s an honor to join CAPAC and stand with a caucus that has long championed justice and opportunity for AANHPI Americans. One in five VA-11 residents identify as AANHPI, and their contributions power Northern Virginia forward. I’m ready to work with CAPAC to advance policies that protect rights, and deliver results for all Americans,” said Congressman James Walkinshaw (VA-11).
