Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Senate confirmed Indira Talwani to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Ms. Talwani is the first person of Asian descent to serve as an Article III judge in the commonwealth of Massachusetts and the first person of Asian descent to serve in the First Circuit. Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Senate voted 53-42 to confirm Theodore David Chuang to the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Mr. Chuang is the first person of Asian descent to serve as an Article III judge in the state of Maryland.
