WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today marks the 11th anniversary of the Oak Creek, Wisconsin, shooting at a Sikh gurdwara where six people were fatally shot and four injured by a White supremacist gunman. A seventh victim died in 2020 from injuries he sustained from this shooting.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the Chairs of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), and Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) sent a letter to the Biden-Harris Administration urging its support of replenishing the funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), created in the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to bridge the digital divide.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today marks World Hepatitis Day, which is observed annually to raise global awareness about viral hepatitis and encourage the eradication of this disease. In the United States, the most common types of viral hepatitis are hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. Viral hepatitis B disproportionately impacts the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) population and can lead to serious health problems, including cirrhosis, liver cancer, and death.
