Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday, President Biden nominated Judge Florence Pan to succeed U.S. Supreme Court-designate Ketanji Brown Jackson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. Judge Pan was confirmed by the Senate in September 2021 to become the first Asian American woman on the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., and previously was a D.C. Superior Court judge. Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, the Senate passed H.R. 3525, Congresswoman Rep. Grace Meng’s Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture Act, which will now be moved to the President’s desk to be signed into law. The bill will authorize a commission to study the potential creation of a national museum dedicated to Asian Pacific American history and culture.
