WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, President Biden announced the appointment of Sukhee Kang as General Services Administration (GSA) Regional Administrator for Zone E, serving Arizona, California, Nevada, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, American Samoa, East Asia, and Guam.  From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Kang was the mayor of Irvine, California.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, CAPAC celebrates two historic AAPI hires for senior positions within House Democratic leadership offices. Starting today, Sonali Desai will serve as the Executive Director of the House Democratic Caucus, led by Chair Pete Aguilar. She most recently served as Chief of Staff to CAPAC Chair Rep. Judy Chu (CA-28). Additionally, Moh Sharma has been named as Director of Member Services for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Washington, D.C. Today, Congress passed the Senate amendment to H.R. 2617, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, which provides $1.7 trillion to fund the federal government through fiscal year 2023 (FY23).  All Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) members voted in favor of the bill.  Chair Rep.
